Front Cover Specifications

It is very important that new home shoppers recognize that our publication is about new homes when they pass our racks. Therefore, the cover must portray a new home image.

To accomplish this, the publisher requires all covers meet the following guidelines: The primary emphasis of the cover should be an exterior view of a model, a decorated interior or a community photo that communicates building and development. Insets of interiors, exteriors, amenities and lifestyle photos centered around new home themes work well. Professional photography should be used for cover photos. Quality renderings are acceptable. Community and builder logos may not be larger than 15% of the image area. Five to ten words of cover copy is permitted. Cover must be supplied for Macintosh using Quark Xpress, Photoshop, Illustrator or PDF files on disk or via the Internet. Publisher will compose the cover and make necessary page references. Publisher also chooses the color combinations for each issue. Publisher reserves the right to refuse or modify any supplied artwork or cover.
